USPAP Aircraft Appraisal Explained
The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) was established to promote and maintain a high level of public trust by establishing requirements for aircraft appraisers. The Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) of the Appraisal Foundation develops, publishes, interprets and amends the USPAP on behalf of appraisers and users of appraisal services.
USPAP calls for the highest standards of professional ethics. A USPAP endorsed aircraft appraisal must be conducted by an appraiser with specialized knowledge, experience and who has also completed intensive course work and testing. The standards set out stringent requirements for providing a USPAP endorsed aircraft appraisal. USPAP Standards 7 and 8 establish requirements for the development and communication of such appraisals. USPAP represents the generally accepted and recognized standards of appraisal practice in the United States..
Pat Duggins - Certified Senior Aircraft Appraisal with USPSP Endorsement While agencies such as NAAA offer training, testing and certification in aircraft appraisal, USPAP is not an agency which trains individuals in aircraft appraisal or which awards aircraft appraisal certification. Instead, USPAP addresses the ethical and performance obligations while providing stringent guidelines and requirements for experienced aircraft appraisers to offer USPAP endorsed aircraft appraisal. Only appraisers who complete intensive coursework and testing can conduct a USPAP endorsed aircraft appraisal. Pat Duggins is a Certified Senior Aircraft Appraiser appointed by the NAAA, and one of fewer than 60 individuals in the country qualified to provide USPAP endorsed aircraft appraisals.
